DESCRIPTION
From a vineyard over fifty years old, rooted in the Ponca, comes the only red wine from the Collio to which Polje has chosen to devote itself. Klanc, meaning “slope” in the local Slovene dialect, evokes the hillsides where some of the oldest and best-exposed vineyards in the area are found.
Variety
Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red in colour, with intense aromas of red fruits and delicate vegetal notes. On the palate, it is harmonious, rounded and elegant, with pleasantly balanced tannins.
Food Pairing
It pairs wonderfully with white poultry meats, Italian starters and meat first or second courses. Serve at 16°C.
